Formation of PPAC
Subsequent to the dismantling of  Administered Pricing Mechanism (APM) in the Petroleum Sector with effect from 1st April 2002, Oil Coordination Committee (OCC) was abolished and    a new cell,  Petroleum Planning  & Analysis Cell  (PPAC) was created   and  attached to the Ministry of Petroleum &  Natural Gas to assist in discharge of  some of the functions   earlier performed by OCC.
